2019 Stayers Water Polo


2019 U15 Stayers Tournament winners, Clarendon Girls.

Clarendon Girls’ High School hosted their annual Centennial Stayers Water Polo Tournament at Selborne College over the weekend. Consisting of an U15 and an U18 section, 18 schools from around the country participated.


Both the Clarendon U15 and U18 sides made it to the finals where they were up against Glenwood from Durban and St Stithians from Johannesburg respectively.

The home school won the U15 final 3-2 while the U18's lead the entire match only to go down in the final chukka 7 - 5.


In the U15, Clarendon's Leah Ewing was awarded Best Attacker and Stirling's Tallulah Pritchard was awarded Best Defender. The U18 saw the Top Goal Scorer, Best Defender and Top Goalkeeper all go the way of Clarendon girls in Kristin Hatley (21 goals), Jenna Weppelman and Kate Forrester respectively.
