Church helps clean-up and feed poor
Uloyiso Community Church initiated #RecycleSundays on September 1 with the aim to collect waste around East London.
This clean-up will be done first Sunday of every month and trash collected will be kept until there is enough to exchange it for cash to buy livestock to feed the poor.
They are in need of helping hands and feel this is the perfect opportunity for one to practise the act of giving.
Residents are also allowed to drop off trash then join the walk and clean the streets. The church is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and recently collected trash around Duncan Village, with the help of other community members.
The church is in need of sponsors and anyone willing to help in cash or kind are welcome.
