Clean sweep for Selborne


Kyle Van Wyk scored 174 for Selborne U/15A against Dale.

In four cricket encounters between Selborne and Dale on Saturday the East London school recorded three mammoth wins while the first team won by 17 runs.

The stand out performance of the weekend was under 15 batsman, Kyle Van Wyk's massive knock of 174 off 128 balls. The under 14 match also saw another centurion with B. Van Der Merwe reaching 103.


Score cards:


1st XI: Selborne 96 all out (S.Els 28). Dale 79 all out, Selborne won by 17 runs.

2ndXI: Selborne 312 all out (M. Volker 63, K. Zimmerman 59, E. Farrer 30, B. Dannhouser 29, R. Evans 28). Dale 92 all out (A. Bruce 4/32, B. Zimmerman 3/13, K. Zimmerman 2/9, T. Hayward 2/13). Selborne won by 220 runs.


U15A: Selborne 384/6 (K. Van Wyk 174, B. Schulst 41). Dale 96 all out (T. Jacobs 2/3). Selborne won by 288 runs. U14A: Selborne 411/8 (B. Van Der Merwe 103, H. Mc Kay 93, J. Nass 87, J. Horsley 53 not out). Dale 124 all out (H. Mc Kay 4/9, E. Currin 3/25, B. Crane 2/31). Selborne won by 287 runs.


Selborne U15B versus Cambridge U15A: Cambridge 118 all out (L. Gaxela 3/13, N. Bashe 3/23). Selborne 70 all out. Cambridge won by 48 runs.
