Eastern Cape Music Awards a huge success

The Abbotsford Christian Centre was filled to capacity on Saturday, December 7 as the Eastern Cape Music Awards (ECMAS), held its 4th annual awards. This year's message was "#A gambling problem hurts, gamble responsibly".

There were 15 categories, the artist of the year award went to Khanyisa Sabuka, the most Eastern Cape National recognized artist was won by Mobi Dixon, the best newcomer was awarded to Siphe Mkokelwa, the best community radio station award was awarded to Mdantsane FM, the best Zion group award, went to Assembles of Christ Church in Zion (ACCZ) and the 2019 Idols Winner Luyolo Yiba was awarded with an acknowledgement award and performed at the event. The most voted artist award went to 100% Ncobela from Bizana.

There were multiple other performances including, Dr Tumi, Mgarimbe, Tally Tabbies with Mashava, the 2018 Idols Winner, Yanga Sobetwa. Some of the event presenters, included Miss Eastern Cape 2018, Mr and Miss Buffalo City 2019, Malibongwe Ngcwabe, Khanyisa Sabuka and Khathaza from Uzalo.

The program directors, Pastor the DJ from uMhlobo Wenene FM, Jigga from Mdantsane FM, and DJ Jikijwa from Mngqushwa FM hosted the event very well.
