EL cyclists finish strong in W.Cape

Five enthusiastic, young cyclists from East London, took part in the Western Cape Cross Country Provincials in Grabouw at the Paul Cluver wine estate on Saturday.

Having rained the entire week building up to the event, conditions were made extremely challenging.

Cyclists fared very well in the muddy conditions competing against their Western Province counterparts.

Special mention must go to Madison Mann for winning the U/17 girls category by over five minutes.

The results were:

Teo Bosazza (U/17 boys - 14th)

Jed Bridger (U/15 boys - 12th)

Lourens Spies (U/17 boys - 9th)

Elke Koch (U/15 girls - 4th)

Madison Mann (U/17 girls - 1st)

The Eastern Cape Cross Country Championships will be held at Hillview MTB Trails, on the 14 November.
