Farmer Brett Krull killers arrested
Two men have been arrested for the murder of East Coast farmer Shaun Brett Krull (48).
His vehicle was recovered hidden in a field in the rural areas of Ngqolowa in Middledrift. A third suspect, in his 20s, handed himself over to the police after fleeing the scene.
It is believed that the field is near the residential place of one of the suspects who worked for the deceased and had been dismissed earlier.
The 26-year-old was arrested after he was found with keys of the farm, a torch belonging to the deceased and meat that was bought by Krull was found hidden inside a room in the house.
Furthermore, a 23-year-old was also arrested in connection with the murder. The vehicle has been to the Forensics in East London for a thorough investigation as it was locked. A third suspect who handed himself over to the police had the keys,” said Police spokesperson Captain Hazel Mqala.
Apparently, Krull was found in a pool of blood at his Sunrise Eggs farm near East London on Friday morning. Mqala said the deceased was patrolling his farm on Thursday night and farm workers discovered his body on a grazing field with two stab wounds on his upper body.
The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage, although it is alleged that the three men, his former employees had an altercation with Krull a few days before his body was found.
