Former Bokke in EL

Former Springbok players and East London residents, Russell Bennett and Delarey Du Preez as well as 1995 World Cup Winner, Mark Andrews enjoyed a morning of rugby during Robbie Du Rand’s inaugural function at Port Rex High School on Saturday.

The Springboks had a comfortable 57-3 win over Namibia. However, the former Boks were not entirely impressed by the performance. " It was not the worst result for us, but as far as the bigger picture goes, being in the World Cup, the game was a wakeup call to say we are not as strong as we think. We still need to perform better to get the results we want," said Andrews.

The turnout for the first event of RDR Events was not so great, but to the benefit of those that attended, this allowed for easier interaction with yesterday's heroes which they duly indulged in, taking photographs and getting autographs signed.
