Hudson and Selborne, in top form
Hudson Park's 1st cricket team continued their dominance of Border Schools Cricket they've come to enjoy for the last 15 years.
Their latest result saw them beating Selborne by 20 runs on Saturday.
The team has furthermore been recognised by the Eastern Cape Department of Sport and Recreation where they received the Sports Team of The Year Award at a glitzy ceremony at the East London ICC recently.
On Saturday their standout performers were Nonelela Yikha with 91 runs and Lilitha Reed with bowling figures of 5/27. Reed's consistent performances have seen him gain selection for the men's upcoming T20 Africa Cup competition.
For Selborne, Matthew Fourie was again the leading wicket taker with 4/32 while Ethan Boucher and Stuart Els featured with bat in hand. The remaining two fixtures between the 2nd teams and the Under 15's saw Selborne record convincing wins.
Kyle van Wyk scored his second successive century in consecutive weekends for Selborne U15A with 119 runs after his massive 174 against Dale last weekend.
