Man sentenced to 11 years for cold-blooded murder

Zwelenzima Blou (33) has been sentenced to eleven years imprisonment for the murder of his girlfriend, Vuyokazi Zondani (26) in March 2018. Blou stabbed Zondani to death in the neck with a knife when she tried to break up with him in Thembisa Location, Bathurst. She died on the scene. He was arrested two hours later.


“Violence against women and children is one of the SAPS Priorities. Awareness campaigns are being held with the community; however, victims need to be aware that there is help out there. The protection order is a very powerful tools that can be applied to assist victims of domestic violence. Let’s join hands and break the silence on domestic violence and sexual abuse,” said Police spokesperson, Captain Mali Govender.
