New Border Karting season revs off

The Border 2020 racing season got off to a great start in perfect East London weather on Saturday with the opening round of the Border Karting Championships. Race fans were treated to some exciting racing in all of the classes with close racing especially in the 125cc Clubmans and the four stroke Clubmans classes.


Traiton Boshoff won the 50cc Bambino class while Lincoln Randall was unstoppable in the Micro Max class and easily won all three heats to take the overall win for the day in this class.

In the four stroke academy class, there were a number of new first time drives who did very well.


The most exciting race, however, was in the 125cc Clubmans class were Bradly Choudree and Geoff Stephen had a huge battle in all three heats with Bradly taking the overall win for the day in this senior class Geoff taking the win in the masters.


Race fans will be treated to more racing this coming Saturday, February 8 with the Motorcycle TT races with a number of international rides on show.
