SA Schools Water Polo action

The 45th edition of what has become the largest annual schools sports tournament in the country, the South African Schools Water Polo Tournament, commenced in Johannesburg at the weekend.
From age group under 13 up to under 19, over 1,600 athletes are competing over five days with the finals taking place on Wednesday.
Buffalo City sent 12 teams with the under 13's having an A and B side in both the boys and girls.
The first full day's action on Sunday saw mixed results across all our competing age groups. The under 14 boys and girls were among our best on the day with their score sheets each showing two wins and a loss.
While their wins were comprehensive against smaller provinces, Northern Tigers and Eastern Gauteng respectively, as well as against Nelson Mandela Bay's (NMB) B sides, it was against Western Province A (boys) and Kwazulu Natal A (girls) where the tables were turned with heavy defeats.
The under 15 girls look to be Buffalo City's most promising side after day one with resounding wins against Eastern Gauteng A and NMB B while against KZN A they narrowly went down 6 - 8.
