Selborne's u/14 champions
Nineteen under 14 waterpolo sides from the Eastern Cape competed in the Jason Murray Waterpolo Tournament this weekend.
A valiant fight back from the Selborne under 14 A side saw them reverse their opening loss to Grey High (3-1) on Friday to claim the 2020 title when they beat the same opponents (4-3) in the final on Saturday. In the 3rd place play off, St Andrew's beat the tournaments only under 13 side, Selborne (8-3).
Going into the girls final it was an unbeaten Clarendon side up against Kingswood, unfortunately the home side went down in a nail biter (5-4). Stirling missed out on the bronze medal, losing (0-2) to Pearson.
The 44th edition of the Vides Waterpolo Tournament takes place this weekend at the Selborne College Polo Complex and the Primary's newly built Jason Murray Aquatics Complex. With 20 of the country's top sides in attendance, non-stop premium action is guaranteed.
