Strictly children on the guest list of Mabuyane’s birthday
When Lubabalo Oscar Mabuyane, the youngest Eastern Cape Premier, turned 46, he celebrated his birthday in a fashion that is just too cute for words. His esteemed guests, 58 learners from the Canaan Care Centre for children with disabilities in Stirling on Monday, February 24, 2020.
Mabuyane came bearing gifts, for his own birthday. He brought outside umbrellas for the centre’s playground, wet wipes, nappies, marshmallows and a massive birthday cake that was enough for everyone, including the staff.
A visible fan of children, Mabuyane barely had time to sit down as he mingled and served the children cake and refreshments.
The centre cares mostly for children with Cerebral Palsy who have been referred by local hospitals. The centre has 58 children, 30 of them stay at the centre. Their main service to the kids is play therapy, physical therapy.
“It was a great pleasure to share Mr Mabuyane's birthday with him today. We are so grateful for the generous donation! What a treat,” was the message from the centre.
